Pearson Prentice Hall textbooks are being utilized throughout the curriculum at South Valley Preparatory School. As part of our efforts to provide its students and parents with home resources that are user friendly and easily accessed at home any time of the day or night, Pearson Prentice Hall has provided us with a website filled with online resources designed to allow students to get in valuable extra practice with various concepts. Parent links are designed to help parents assist their children with easy to understand explanations that will make homework time easier.
Additional online links are provided to allow students access to resources that can be used to complete class projects.
Links are available for every core subject area: Science, Social Studies, Mathematics and Language Arts.
The math curriculum at SVPS is Connected Mathematics by Pearson Prentice Hall. Connected Mathematics is a rigorous math program aimed at promoting and developing problem solving and critical thinking skills. Pearson Prentice Hall provides help for students and parents at the following website:

Students and parents alike have 24 hour access to each teacher’s webpage. Each teacher has individually developed their webpage to focus on the core needs of their students, providing fun and interactive activities designed to provide extra practice, build proficiency and develop each student’s ability to access resources that can be used to complete individual and class projects. Teachers at SVPS use their website to post important class information and updates. It is a great way to keep up with what each class or grade level is studying. Each teacher webpage contains an email link and can be easily utilized to make communicating with your child’s teacher easy and fast. Students may use the email link to submit homework and projects! Its easy and free!

Teachertube! Not like Youtube, this website allows access to teacher presentations and student generated projects that are aimed at helping parents to experience new ways of presenting familiar concepts and ideas. It is a great place to view demonstrations and gather ideas for class projects.
