Admissions:
Admission to South Valley Preparatory School is based on a lottery system. Parents must fill out an application and return it to the school by the designated dates. A lottery is held immediately thereafter, and parents are advised of entry.
Currently at SVPS:
There are no spaces available at SVPS for the current academic year. However, should spaces become available, students on the waiting lists will be notified.
Waitlists: Students who do not gain entry through the lottery are placed on a waiting list and called when spaces become available.
Future Admission: SVPS began accepting applications for the 2013 – 2014 academic school year in January 2013.
The 2013-2014 lottery dates will be announced soon.
Applications received after the deadline will not be considered the lottery window.
Applications can be hand delivered to the office and will be accepted by fax at 505-222-5647.
High School Registration: Beginning in January 2013, SVPS will schedule visits by school counselors and officials from several local high schools. We will schedule visits from South Valley Academy, Atrisco Heritage High School, Rio Grande High School, Albuquerque High School as well as others.
Please contact SVPS if you are interested in having other high schools visit our students. We also plan to have our 8th grade students visit and shadow students from other high schools so that they are able to make an informed decision about the direction they want to pursue in high school.
